Business Corruption

According to the SIDA's Albania Anti-Corruption Study of 2007, one of the public services most typically affected by corruption is the environmental inspection of companies.

According to Global Integrity 2010, business inspections by government officials to ensure public environmental standards in Albania are usually carried out in an arbitrary and ad-hoc manner, and bribes are extracted from companies in return for favourable treatment or expedited processing.
