Export Credit Premium Group
The classification of countries in premium groups constitutes the basis for calculating EKF's (Eksport Kredit Fonden – the Danish export credit agency) premium for political risk coverage. Countries are placed in premium groups 1 - 7D, with 1 being the lowest risk category and thus the least expensive. Conversely, premium group 7D is the highest risk category. This factor indicates the overall political stability and risk in the country in question. The figure can be found at www.ekf.dk under 'Country Info'.
